Introduction

The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo holds over 800 funds and is one of the Western New York region’s largest grantmakers. Last year, the Community Foundation and its clients awarded $12 million to the community.

The Community Foundation currently manages the following grant opportunities, which are open to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. Click on each to learn more.


LOI Process Open from January 1 to February 1 at 4 PM

Applying organizations should have focused efforts in one of the following areas:
  • Improve educational achievement for students living in low-income households
  • Increase racial/ethnic equity
  • Enhance and leverage significant natural resources
  • Strengthen the region as a center for architecture, arts & culture

LOI Process Open from January 3 to January 20 at 4 PM

Applying organizations should have focused efforts in one of the following areas:
  • Caregiving
  • Community Assets
  • Design and Access
  • Youth Sports
