Warsaw, N.Y. — The Wyoming Foundation, a geographic division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, announced awards totaling more than $36,000 to nine Wyoming County nonprofit organizations for its 2024 grant cycle. Grants were awarded to programs in Wyoming County with a preference for requests that either increase job readiness for youth or connect residents to the County’s arts and cultural gems.
2024 Wyoming Foundation grant recipients include:
- Arts Council for Wyoming County: $4,000 for Fiber Flurry
- Arts for Learning WNY: $5,000 for Creative Enrichment Opportunities in Wyoming County
- Friends of Letchworth State Park: $4,500 for Haudenosaunee Video Project
- Gateway Home-Comfort Care: $5,000 for Doula Services Training
- Independent Health Foundation: $1,500 for Fitness for Kids Challenge
- Insightful Strides: $5,000 for Youth Mental Health Enrichment
- Perry Central School District: $5,000 for CTE Shed Project
- Shake on the Lake: $5,000 for Summer 2024 Tour: Henry V
- Warsaw Historical Society: $1,610 for Pride in Place: Promoting Warsaw’s and Wyoming County’s Rich History
Established in 1976 by Dr. James MacCallum and now a division of the Community Foundation, the Wyoming Foundation makes the most of the generosity of its clients to benefit all Wyoming County residents. With more than $5 million under its care, the Wyoming Foundation’s endowment has distributed over $900,000 in grants to support a wide variety of cultural, educational and human services organizations that specialize in enhancing the county’s arts and cultural institutions, improving literacy and strengthening the county’s cradle-to-career pipeline.
